Screed Flooring

Floor screed is made up of cementitious materials and sand that are blended according to a specific mix design and applied to provide a levelled surface for the floor finish that is applied to the surface of the floor screed. As a result, floor screed serves as the foundation for the floor finish and has a significant impact on its performance. Screeding Materials for the Floor The following materials are used to make floor screeds: • Cement • Clean, sharp sand • Water • And, on occasion, additives are added to achieve specific properties. To reinforce the screed, polymer materials, metal mesh, or glass are likely to be used.
