Dyed Concrete Flooring

Dyed Concrete Flooring
Concrete flooring can also be dyed to any colour you want. The concrete floor in this kitchen has been coloured with a solid brown, water-based colouring agent. This resulted in a rich, smooth finish that is consistent across the entire floor. Unlike acid staining, the dye does not react chemically with the concrete. To add colour, it simply penetrates the surface. As a result, the outcomes are far more predictable than with acid staining. However, depending on the colour, a dyed concrete floor can be a little harsh because there isn't much colour variation to create softness and movement. A neutral area rug is a great way to soften the look of the floor.
